“PLEASE GOD”
These two words are now on my desk. I want to see them every day. I want to carry them out every day.
Please God reminds me that I want to be pleasing to God with my words and actions. It’s so tempting to fall into the trap of trying to be a people pleaser but at the end of the day its only God’s opinion of what I’ve done that counts. Sometimes others might not understand or be pleased but I must ask is God pleased with how I’m loving my wife and children, how I’m serving the church, how I spend my time and money.
Please God also reminds me to pray. I don’t demand things of God. I ask. Please God help me. Please God help those in need in our congregation. Please God help our missionaries.
“Brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to PLEASE GOD as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.” I Thessalonians 4:1
